Looking for a reliable faucet filter but having trouble choosing between the DuPont WFFM100XCH and the PUR Plus PFM350V? We don’t blame you. Besides having roughly the same advertised filtering performance, they’re also in the same price range as one another.

In our lab test, both models performed exceptionally well in the chlorine filtering test. Our reviewers were impressed with the perfect scores both filters received. We carefully tested the water outputted by both models with a water test kit and found no traces of chlorine behind.

However, when it comes to flow rate, both models fell below our minimum threshold during testing.

The DuPont achieved a rate of 0.46 GPM, while the PUR Plus PFM350V achieved 0.44 GPM. This resulted in both models being considered "failed" for our test. So, if you're looking for a fast-working faucet filter, unfortunately, these models may not be the best choice (instead, we recommend models like the Waterdrop WD-FC-06).

But if you value filtering performance or design quality over flow rate, both models are worth considering.

The DuPont WFFM100XCH is made from chrome-plated plastic, while the PUR Plus PFM350V is made from plain, dark grey plastic. Nonetheless, both filters are very well-built. Our reviewers found no significant design or manufacturing flaw in the units we bought for testing.
