Tested Using Methodology v1.0Overall Verdict
Check out the fun sibling quarrel between the Breville BOV450XL Mini Smart Toaster Oven and the Breville Smart Oven Pro (BOV845BSS). Even in the battle of ‘smart’, the winner is still the bigger and stronger Smart Oven Pro.
The size difference gave the Smart Oven Pro room for more features than the Mini Smart. They both have a non-stick coating for their interiors and accessories, an intuitive digital control panel, and unique feature buttons like temperature conversion and adding time to frozen foods. However, the Smart Oven Pro has a larger cooking chamber with more rack positions, a convection system, and internal lighting.
They did tie in performance though, which was unfortunate for the Smart Oven Pro because it didn’t do as well as other same-sized units with the same power output and convection system. The Smart Oven Pro was better at baking pizza and roasting whole chicken but the Mini Smart evened things out through toasting bread and baking fries.
