The extra large Oster French Door Digital Convection Toaster Oven (TSSTTVFDDG) has higher scores than the Hamilton Beach Easy Reach 4 Slices Toaster Oven (31344DA). However, it may surprise you that their scores don’t differ as much as their sizes.
Both units have an interesting design quirk of their own. The Oster has a sleek brush stainless steel casing and a single-pull French door. Meanwhile, the Hamilton has a roll-top door that saves some more space on top of its small footprint.
Other than that, the Hamilton has only the standard features similar to many other small toaster ovens, such as two quartz heating elements and analog control dials. On the other hand, the Oster has digital controls, internal lighting, a convection system, and more heating elements.
Thanks to its higher power draw, the Oster scored higher in roasting whole chicken and baking fries. The Hamilton won in toasting bread and baking pizza, although not by much.
