Between the Hamilton Beach 31401 Toaster Oven and the Cosori Air Fryer Toaster Oven (CO130-AO), the latter is the clear winner. The former has a below-average overall score due to it having all the common weaknesses of a small unit.
The Hamilton only has a barebone control panel and no interior light to help with convenience. In contrast, the Cosori has an intricate control panel with informative digital display, intuitive buttons, and toggle switches for lighting, temperature conversion, and convection settings.
The Hamilton has a low power output and no convection system to help with its cooking performance like the Cosori. However, it actually has a very good score in toasting bread, especially in the second consecutive batch of toast. We speculated the reason to be the oven not heating up too fast, and thus avoided burning the toast.
Nonetheless, the Cosori is just at good at making the same amount of toast, if not more thanks to its larger capacity. It also has a rotisserie kit to help with roasting whole chicken and an air fryer basket for air frying fries.
