CROWNFUL 4-inch Mini vs DASH No-Drip Belgian Side-by-Side Comparison
Here’s our comparison of the Crownful 4-inch mini waffle maker and the extra-large-size DASH No-Drip Belgian waffle maker!

Specifications
Design
The Crownful is visually striking compared to other mini-sized waffle makers in our database. Featuring a raised circular pattern on the lid and finished off with a light wooden handle, its aesthetic is the most remarkable part. The build quality is decent for the price point. A pair of solid hinges on the lid and the waffle plates are coated with a layer of functional non-stick coating.
Our only complaint is that, like many other mini-sized waffle makers, the Crownful lacks a control panel.
Although the design of the DASH No-Drip Belgian Waffle Maker isn't very luxurious with its plain plastic housing, the build quality is excellent. The lid hinges are solid, the waffle plates are coated in an effective layer of non-stick.
Unfortunately, there is one issue: this model lacks a control panel. For the price point it’s at, this is a clear drawback.
Usability Comparison
The lack of a control panel doesn’t mean the Crownful is hard to use. The opposite, in fact. Plug it in, wait for the signal light to go off, and pour your batter. Getting the perfect browning level can be tricky, but you’ll get the feel of it after some time using the waffle maker.
Cleaning up is a breeze due to its non-stick coating plates. Like most mini waffle makers we’ve tested, safety is an issue since the entire waffle maker heats up after a few cooking sessions.
Using the DASH waffle maker is easy overall — plug it in, wait until the READY indicator lights up, and start pouring your batter!
The lack of a control system is troublesome, though. You can't adjust the browning or doneness to your liking. Instead, you'll have to time the cooking process to get your desired browning level.
On the plus side, safety and cleanability are both excellent for this model.
Performance Test
In our cooking tests with the self-mixed recipe, the Crownful CF-WM01 waffle maker managed to achieve brilliant results across all three scoring criteria: color, texture, and taste. The waffles weren’t gourmet-grade, but they can still make for great breakfast treats for families and individuals.
However, in our test with the Birch Benders mix, the waffle maker notably failed the color test by producing a very pale, undercooked-looking waffle.
The DASH No-Drip performed acceptably in both performance tests. However, it was found lacking in one key area: cooking a waffle's crust to a nice color tone. The waffle maker failed to make waffles with our desired golden-brown tone in both test recipes.
Fortunately, the texture and flavor were spot on. So, for breakfasts and snacks, the DASH No-Drip belgian waffle maker won’t disappoint.

Conclusion
This pair couldn’t be any different if they tried. The Crownful waffle maker has a compact design about the size of a softball and is light enough to be held in one hand. Meanwhile, the DASH No-Drip Belgian will take up a large area on your countertop.
There’s a good explanation for the size difference. The Crownful mini waffle maker is designed for baking 4-inch waffles. These bite-sized waffles are excellent as snacks or light meals.
The DASH No-Drip Belgian waffle maker also makes 4-inch waffles. However, its large waffle plates can cook four at a time, and rather than the traditional circular shape, they’re square waffles.
So, if you’re looking for a compact and cheap waffle maker and don’t need to bulk cook several waffles at once, pick the Crownful. But if the ability to simultaneously cook several waffles sounds useful to you, invest in the DASH No-Drip Belgian instead!
