Tested Using Methodology v1.0Overall Verdict
Unfortunately, the Elite Gourmet Electric Kettle (EKT-602) isn’t a product we recommend. This is especially true when compared to the Cuisinart Electric Kettle CPK-17P1 that has superior performance and usability.
The Elite Gourmet’s slow boiling time and high energy consumption were made all the more apparent pitted against the Cuisinart’s excellent scores. On the bright side, the Elite Gourmet was one of the quietest kettles in our roster when boiling.
Both have all the desirable features on their carafes, limescale filters, and lids. However, the Elite Gourmet has some awkward button placement which is less convenient than the Cuisinart’s 6 preset temperatures—all operated by just one-touch. Moreover, the Cuisinart’s ability to maintain temperatures for up to 30 minutes gives it a much stronger edge in terms of keeping the water warm.
