How to Boil Peanut
Additionally, adding spices with strong aroma like ginger or cloves to the boiling water is widely recommended. As long as you’re not afraid of the natural flavor of peanuts being overpowered, simply make yourself a batch of peanuts boiled with spices to see for yourself.
Servings: 12 servings
- 24 oz raw peanuts with shells on
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 6 cup water
Rinse the peanuts properly, then transfer them to the boiling pot. Add salt and water, stir until completely dissolved.
Turn on medium heat, bring the pot to a boil. Let it boil and simmer for 45 minutes.
Fish the peanuts out and there you've done the job. Pop one peanut to check if it's as soft as you want. Otherwise, return them back to the water and continue to boil, pause halfway to check until you’ve got your desired consistency.
