Guacamole Recipe

Guacamole is so popular for its soft but not too creamy mouthfeel as that of some pureed bean spreads. Assembling both the tangy aroma of garlic and lime, Guacamole’s taste is even more swirling thanks to the crunchy diced onions and tomatoes.

  • 11 oz avocado 2 medium; peeled, stoned, mashed
  • 2 tbsp lime juice juice of 2 limes
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher salt
  • 1/3 cup onion diced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • 7 oz tomato 1 large, diced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ground cayenne pepper optional

  • In a medium bowl, mix together lime juice with cilantro, garlic (or cayenne pepper if desired).
  • Add the mashed avocado to the same bowl with diced potatoes and tomato. Stir together.
  • Serve your guacamole immediately with fajitas, some tortilla chips or even pita bread.

I would advise you not to add fresh pieces of garlic as they can be a bit fiery and intense. Garlic powder or garlic salt is much more highly recommended.
