Juice the blueberries: Put blueberries and rosemary through a juicer and collect the juice in a pitcher.
Add water to the juicer: This helps further process the leftover blueberry flesh inside the machine.
Combine the juices: Add pomegranate juice to the pitcher.
Add sugar to the juice: Sugar can balance out the tartness in the juice.
Add lemon juice to the pitcher: This adds more depth of flavor to the juice.

1. How to Cut a Pomegranate
Some people may think pomegranate is a tricky fruit to cut, but it’s actually not. Here’s a detailed demonstration on how to cut a pomegranate:
- Using a sharp knife, cut off the stem end of the pomegranate. This will reveal its natural sections.
- Notice the shallow ridges that run from the sections on top of the pomegranate to the bottom. Take your knife and make shallow cuts following the sections and ridges.
- Hold the fruit over a large bowl and gently pry open the pomegranate with your fingers. Once you’ve opened the fruit, continue to pry the seeds out of the peels, removing any membrane.
2. How to Extract Juice from Pomegranate Seeds
As mentioned above, you can juice the pomegranate seeds by hand— this method is quite satisfying to do. But if you don’t have the time, you can always use either a juicer or blender.
- With a juicer: simply feed the seeds to the chute and extract the juice in a pitcher. The juice will come out a bit cloudy but the taste remains the same.
- With a blender: put the seeds in a blender and pulse a couple of times to release the juice. Strain the juice through a fine sieve, press the arils with a spatula to extract any remaining juice.

Since pomegranate blueberry juice recipe is made from scratch and doesn’t contain any preservatives, it’ll only last 48 hours.
That being said, it would be best to drink it all up within the first 2 hours. After this period of time, the quality will decline quickly and the juice won’t be as delicious.
If you want to retain and prolong the quality of the juice, you need to store it properly. Pour the drink into a bottle or mason jar, seal it tight, and put it in the fridge.
