Look and Feel

The Cuisinart CGG-608 is made from stainless steel, and comes in a stainless steel finish. It is lightweight and portable.

The grill measures 17.8 inches long x 15 inches wide x 14.5 inches high. Weighing at 18 pounds, it is easy to carry on long or short trips, but it works for backyard barbecuing just as well.

The grill comes with a 176 square inch cooking surface. Its single burner delivers 10,000 BTUs of power and provides a temperature range from 50 to 700 degrees Fahrenheit. The cooking grate is made from high-end stainless steel.

The package includes one cooking grate, drip tray, flame tamer, and regulator. Assembly of the grill is straightforward. You need to extend the grill legs down, install the regulator to the burner and rotate it clockwise until it’s secured in place.

The latches on either side of the lid secure the lid in place for transportation. The lid handle serves a dual purpose of opening and closing the lid and carrying the grill. The legs are foldable and fold in neatly under it.

The CGG-608 comes with an inbuilt thermometer. This tells exactly how hot the grill is at any point of time. The grill also features a twist start ignition system. It’s as easy as pushing the gas control knob and turning it to the “HIGH” position. The ignitor will click and light the burner.

When using the grill for the first time or after a long time, operate the grill with the lid closed for 15 minutes on high to “heat-clean” the internal parts and eliminate any odor.

Impressions

The Cuisinart CGG-608 is aimed at on-the-go cooking, where hauling heavyweight grills is not an option. Be it your backyard, tailgating, fishing, beach, or camping, the grill is a perfect companion for those seeking a powerful grilling solution on the move. It is also ideal for small homes, balconies, and RVs.

Its 176 square inch cooking surface can comfortably serve from 1 to 5 people.

The CGG-608 is designed to work with disposable 1-pound propane canisters. The gas canister locks itself securely directly under the regulator without the need of an extension hose. However, it can also work with a 20-pound propane tank. Keep in mind that you will need a conversion hose for the 20-pound gas tank to work with the grill.

The Cuisinart CGG-608 Portable, Professional Gas Grill is covered under a 3-year limited warranty.
