If you’re looking for a simple, healthy drink, this carrot apple beet juice recipe is just the one for you.

Beets have a high water content so they produce lots of juice. And if you’ve never tasted beet juice, you’ll be surprised how refreshing it is.

Healthy Carrot Apple Beet Juice Juice Recipe

Another reason why we love beets so much is because of their color. They have a vibrant deep red, purple-ish color that’ll make any juice look pretty.

Speaking of colors, we have another recipe for a delicious juice, which uses tomatoes to lend it an appealing red-orange hue. You can check it out and use it for adding inviting colors to your juicing recipes.

And to give the juice more depth of flavor, we add apple, carrot, honey, and lemon juice to the blend. This makes for a sweet, slightly sour, refreshing carrot apple beet juice recipe.

But how is it healthy? Let’s find out.

Is Carrot Apple Beet Juice Good for You?

Yes, this carrot apple beet juice is good for you. Here’s why:

When you drink this juice, you’ll be able to taste the sweetness. You can also find in the nutrition facts that this juice contains 24 grams of sugar per serving.

Don’t be alarmed. It may seem like a lot of sugar, but there’s only 8.5 grams of added sugar per serving.

This added sugar comes from honey, a natural sweetener. The remaining amount of sugar comes from the natural sugar in the fruits and vegetables.

The recommended daily intake of added sugar should be less than 10% of calories per day. This is approximately 50 grams of added sugar per day.

If you want to cut down on added sugar in your diet, simply leave out the honey. Reducing your added sugar intake can prevent the risk of many health problems, including diabetes, obesity, and heart diseases.

In addition, this juice contains lots of nutrients, including 7% of vitamin C RDI and 16% of vitamin B9 RDI.

How Many Calories are in This Juice?

There are 125 calories per serving of our carrot apple beet juice. Serving size is approximately 1 cup of juice.

You can pair this drink with a main dish and side dish to make a 750-calorie meal. Or you can plan a 600-calorie breakfast with this juice too.

If you’re having this drink at breakfast, we recommend making it the night before to save yourself some time. Although the juice may not be as fresh, it’ll still taste good and be packed with nutrition.

Can You Juice Beet Greens?

You may not know this, but the stems and leaves of a beetroot are edible. So yes, you can juice leaves and stems along with the root.

But the juice of the leaves will be green. It will make the beautiful, deep red color of the original carrot apple beet juice murky.

If this doesn’t bother you, juice away. Or you can use the leaves to make a simple side dish.

Separate the stems and leaves, and chop them coarsely. In a pot of boiling water, blanch the stems for 2 minutes and the leaves for 1 minute.

Then drain, transfer to an ice bath, and leave them there for a minute. Drain well and squeeze to extract excess water.

Add olive oil to a skillet. Sauté the stems and leaves with minced garlic for 1 minute over medium-high heat.

Season lightly with salt or grated parmesan cheese and freshly ground black pepper. Sautéed beet greens and stems can pair well with chicken, beef, or fish.

Juice the fruits and vegetables:
Put apples, ginger, beets, and carrots into a juicer chute to extra the juice. Collect the juice in a large pitcher. (Optional: you can strain the juice with a fine sieve to remove any remaining bits of vegetables.)

Add them to the pitcher and stir to dissolve. They will add both sweetness and sourness to the juice— making the juice more flavorful.

How Long Does It Last?

Our carrot apple beet juice recipe is entirely homemade and doesn’t contain any preservatives.

We recommend storing the juice in an airtight bottle or mason jar. It’ll stay fresh and can last up to 48 hours in the fridge.

That being said, it would be best to drink it all up within the first 2 hours after juicing. After 2 hours, the juice will start to lose its quality and freshness.
