Delta Faucet is a well-known name in the business of kitchen and bathroom faucets. The brand brings to the market a wide range of both styling, from classical to futuristic, and usability, from fundamental to advance. Today’s review will focus on a model that settles comfortably in between those extremes: the Delta Leland 9178-DST.
The Leland 9178-DST is an exquisite pull-down kitchen faucet that mixes the curvature of vintage designs and minimal details of contemporary trends. It offers an elegant design, beautiful finishes, and satisfactory performance over the years.
Still, it may or may not suit you. And there’s no way of finding out without diving in, so let’s!
Bronze Kitchen Faucet Review: Main Features
- Pull-down sprayer
- Magnetic docking
- Deck plate included
- Durable InnoFlex Pex lines
- Beautiful Design
- Reported handle precision problems
Retractable Pull-Down Head
This Delta Leland 9178-DST has a head that extends to become a sprayer. The long hose allows the head to move freely and even reach places outside the sink. It also comes in handy when you have a tall container that you can’t fit under the faucet as long as the sprayer head can fit through its mouth.
The pull-down head retracts on its own once you’re done using it. Thanks to a clip-on weight on the main hose, the head will automatically go back to its seat and dock in easily without you thinking about it.
Magnetic Docking
The Delta MagnaTite Docking technology uses a powerful and long-lasting magnet to magnetizes the collar of the spout. The application helps keep the prayer head secure in place with minimum effort involved. Many owners have shared their love for the practical MagnaTite and how its effect maintains over time.
Exclusive ShieldSpray
The sprayer has three selectable output options: spray, stream, and the Delta Exclusive ShieldSpray. When ShieldSpray is engaged, it creates a dome-looking water shield that surrounds a single jet stream. While the strong jet stream cleans off food remains, the dome prevents splatters.
The outlet spray nozzles are rubber and flexible, so you can conveniently clean out any mineral build-up just by rubbing on them.
Patented Seal Technology
The handle of this Delta Leland pull-down faucet houses the patented Delta DIAMOND Seal valve. The technology promises a leak-free experience that lasts twice as long as the industrial standard of 500,000 cycles. However, there are several reports saying that the handle is difficult to maneuver and, in rarer cases, leaks.
Multiple Finishes
The faucet comes with four choices for the finish, including SpotShield Stainless, Arctic Stainless, Venetian Bronze, and basic Chrome. SpotShiled Stainless has increased resistance to tarnishing, corrosion, and spots.
